Welcome!
______
Here at The Key Alternative Provision, we take pride in every student in our care and are ambitious and keen to strive for the best.
We recognise that it takes time, effort, and an entire community to educate a child – which is why we remain committed to working side-by-side with parents, schools and the local authority.
Our vision for the provision and those that it serves is simple:
At The Key we want students to be happy and successful. We strive to develop confident young people achieving their best and reaching their full potential.
Our values to help us achieve this vision are:
Resilience – to be able to bounce back from difficult challenges and become stronger individuals.
Aspiration – to aim high and be the best we can be.
Determination – to unlock our potential.
Tolerance – to overcome prejudice and discrimination and being able to handle conflicts peacefully.
Respect – to accept each other and celebrate our differences.
Team spirit – to work together to enable growth and development.
Responsibility and honesty – to take ownership of our actions.
We aim to create a safe, welcoming, and caring environment, where all are respectful and work together as a community. We teach all to value different communities and religions and to respect and understand people’s lifestyles, cultures and background.
As a specialist provision, we aim to challenge all pupils academically and vocationally, make them assessment proficient learners with a strong focus on targeted teaching for each student.
Our young people develop academic and life skills and understand that learning does not stop within an educational setting and is a lifelong process.
We look forward to meeting students and their families.
